#A graphic designer who switched to AI
I recently had an eye-opening conversation with a graphic designer at an ad agency. She was trained in the technical mastery of classic design tools like the Adobe suite, but her daily work has changed fundamentally since Midjourney came along.
For two years now, she has used AI almost exclusively for the mockup phase. Her process now goes like this:
- She generates lots of variants with AI, by prompting
- She touches up the last details in Photoshop
- She presents to the client, fully transparent about where the images come from
By her own account, this lets her put forward more creative directions, with better visual quality.
An interesting detail: after a long run on Midjourney, she switched a few weeks ago to Nano Banana Pro, which she finds at least as good.
In our consulting work, we tend to focus on transforming business processes. But let’s not lose sight of the fact that for creative jobs the revolution has already happened: images, sound, and now video 🎥
